WELCOME NEW USERS!

Hi all,

I'm new here 2 :D I started using photoshop a week or 2 ago ... I browsed the net and tried some tut's ... now I arrived here ^^
Hope I can gain some knowledge and share mine once it becomes a bit larger :)

New here but not to Photoshop.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. My name is Chris and I have been using PS since 6.0 came out, I'm now using 8.0 or Photoshop cs as they like to call it. I've done a ton of banners and some avatars, but not too much more. I'll post some of my stuff when I find the right board. I'd like to learn everything I can about using PS and this looks like the place to do it. See you around the boards. 8[

Subject?!? I have no subject...

Hi everyone, I've just joined the ranks here pretty much as a beginner, though I have figured out quite a bit about the program though trial and error...

These tutorials are like a gift from above (though I still can't get the pill to look quite right.) [upset]

By the way, Xam-e, just click on "Profile" in the top right hand corner of the screen, and then scroll down.

Howdy All and greetings from Oklahoma. I am fairly new to the message board scene. It will take some time for me to get used to it all. I am sure I will ask some newbie questions during my time on this board. Please be patient with me I need alot of help.

Thank you for the forum. I've been learning photoshop (self-taugh) for years now and now it's time to learn something beyond self-taugh.

I will try my best to share what I know and learn what I do not.

Thank you once again. 8))

Hello everyone, I am new to photoshop(had it for a few weeks really) I've been tryin to teach myself, reading a few tuts and what have you. So far I've learned nothing. :-\ I stumbled upon this forum and just browsed and have noticed that this is a very nice place to learn about photoshop. I will probably be asking alot of questions during my time in this forum, I hope im not to much of a bother. :}

Greetings to all new members! [excited]

Welcome to the community! :D

Pull up some pixels and stay awhile. Check out the different areas. As
theKeeper said there are no skill level required. Just a willingness to try, learn, and have fune. Don't be shy with the questions.

Don't you worry, ask as many questions as you want. You know, the name PhotoshopGurus is actually confusing (sorry Mark), because it has given give a lot of potential members (in my view, based on past experiences) the idea that this is some kind of elite group of very experienced Photoshop users, which is not the case. But of course we do have many people who are indeed very good with Photoshop.

PhotoshopGurus
That's spelled wrong. ;) It's "Photoshop Guru's".

I've been aware of the confusion over the name for a lota years now. It's mainly based on the fact that folks are reading it wrong. Everyone assumes the name means "I am a photoshop guru, and this is my handbook".

But that's incorrect. ;)

It should really be read as "a handbook for Photoshop Gurus" -- which then includes ANYONE who's a user of Photoshop. And my alias -- theKeeper -- is based on the fact that i am "the keeper" of the handbook, owner/author of this site.

The meaning goes WAY back to when i first created the site and the motif revolved around magic and mystisicm.

Hope that clears things up. :B

Well that's prolly just because after this long, folks find it easy to say/remember just using the photoshopgurus part. I've just gotten use to that now. [honesty]

Just thought I'd say introduce myself :)

I've been using photoshop since version 6 ... before that I was a PSP user.

I still consider myself a newbie at photoshop ... hopefully one day I'll make it to the next level :D

Cool graphics hangout ya got here ... glad I happened across it :righton:

Welcome to the community Cisco Kid, we hope you enjoy your stay.

Feel free to participate in any of the group stuff going on around here, like challenges and whatnot.

[oops] Oops! I posted a message before introducing myself.

I got the Adobe Suite around Thanksgiving and play with it everyday. I got the Photoshop CS Bible a couple weeks ago and it really covers the program. If only I had some tests that would force me to remember everything in it.

Professionally, I'm a stripper. [shhh] Actually that's just part of what I do, stripping negatives for a print shop. :) I also do darkroom, printing and bindery work. I've been doing that for 30 years.

I live in the Republic of Texas... [stuned] Oh, wait, we're a state now... :) I moved here 21 years ago, married and we have five little girls. (miaou, miaou, miaou, miaou, miaou) I'm also an avid Scrabble(r) player, NSA member, ISC and tournament player.

Well, back to play...
