I've been lurking for a while, finally decided to join! I am not very good at Photoshop yet, but with the help of Forums like this and online tutorials (God knows the book that comes with photoshop is no help) my skills are improving! Thanks!

/claps! Welcome posts are fun! I'm ROz, been using PS 7.0 since about march of this year. Using it mostly to do Everquest signatures after being inspired by some friends. Ended up having to make my own site! www.theangrycrayon.com

Just recently started dabbling in plug ins like Eyecandy and Dreamsuite (i think its called). Love love photoshop and always happy to find new forums with new ideas and tutorials! kk back to reading every single post in every single forum. =D

In real life I play a software developer, but I do love Photoshop. I'm joining up because these boards seem like a place where I can better my skills.

I look forward to contributing.

But one question -- is there a section where people relatively new to Photoshop should not post their work? In other words, is there a section that is only for decently professional work?

There's no user level segregation here folks. Everyone posts in the same place. And everyone is always welcome to partake in any group projects and challenges.

The main function of this specific board is just to help make the Forum transition a little more inviting to newer users. It doesn't mean that new users have to stay on the board only. Wonder around. Touch stuff! Get a feel for the place! :righton: :B

Hi everyone,

Just joined, and feeling quite shy, never been part of something like this before. Every one seems very friendly and helpful. I have
been using photoshop for about 4 years now, but every time I think I've got the hang of it, something comes along and I realise, I've only touched the tip of the iceberg. I guess there's a life time of learning ahead. \:]

My work is mainly inspired by dancers, so I'm interested in capturing elements of movement, when I'm feeling braver I'll post some work.
