3D 3d show off room

Alistair, I almost know for 100% sure that you can split the model in half and glue the two pieces together, because I can somehow remember reading about it. Sadly enough you need someone with more 3D experience than I have to figure out how to do it. You might consider to post your question on the wings 3D board ;)

Well, I tried it myself. I rotated the whole thing till I got a whole top view, selected the left side, and deleted the whole thing. aSo the whole thing is only one side. I rotated it back, and then duplicated it. After duplicating it, I fliped it, and then tried gluing them together, but that's where it is giving me a big kick in the rear. [stuned] Thank gosh I made a backup of the full car :D ;)

Hi guys...

either you would select a line in the center which runs the full length and then hit L to thus get the loop selected, then right click and do a loop cut... now you have two objects, one of which is selected... if this is not the one you wish simply click it unelected in the objects window and select the other one... or when you are working with a model with larger polly's or you have a good eye, you can always use the windows standard select method and then hit the backspace to dissolve said area... either and or...

then select whole side, right click and duplicate, then move to side along axis, flip along same said axis, then move back along axis to position... click off the view of one in the object box and then select the whole inside, click off this model to hide and click other to show...select it's inside area then click both to show in object box and now you have the two isides selected and the two parts positioned then either weld or bridge together in the end

Congratulations James, you made it to master apprentice :D

Thanks for all your positive contributions :righton:

gidgit, are you James? [confused] If so, CONGRATULATIONS on achieving "Master Apprentice" status! :D

You've certainly given of your time and patience here! Always, positive, helpful and appreciated! ;) :righton:

;) Thanks G-Man...

James, my sentiments remain unchanged! :)

Ha ha, thanks all... and yea, call me James, I have been called worse ya know ;) ;0 :bustagut: [confused]

I have been really going back to the utmost basics of box modeling these days... checking out just how these poly's work together , and am having a blast [confused] [confused] ... thinks I have it pretty much nailed and will do up a few tuts shortly.

And I mean tuts so easy that everybody will be able to do a few moves to a few cool objects with ease... , you will be surprised at how quick you pick this stuff up... just wait and see

till then, thanks again, I look forward to sharing and learning this stuff together with you all :D

Guys, prepare for some cooless. I just got poser 4. I am not going to install it yet untill I buy the 120 gb external hd im looking for (found one for $80)!!! Well, this car isn't working. I have two identical halfs now but can't get them lined up!!! :{

GOTTA GET!!!

BestBuy gaussian!!! Here, have a look for your self!!!: [excited] [excited] [excited] Im sooo EXCITED!!! oops, i hope all 15 aren't sold out yet [stuned] [saywhat]

[stuned] 120 GB for $90????? [confused]
Im sooo EXCITED!!! oops, i hope all 15 aren't sold out yet
Chances are... [innocent] it's a "selling technique" called "loss leader". I'd be so happy for you if you actually were one of the first 15 to order at this price, Alistair! And then again, I'd be even happier if you received a "quality" product... [oops]

Let us know... [honesty]

[shhh] P.S. There's an old saying that goes something to this effect... "if it looks too good to be true..." (I think that you know the rest)

I checked some prices and in general I'm amazed to see that the prices for these 120 GB drives are so low. I've seen the cheapest ones being sold for around $140 (both 5400 and 7200 rpm models).

I advice you to double check to see if it's 7200 rpm drive though.

I definately will check gaus ;) Don't worry guys, just because i'm 14 doesn't mean anybody can RIPP me off [upset] I'll make sure whatever I do get is the best, reasonable, and perfect thing out there :) I just missed one deal for ONLY $70!!!!! :( o well, sooner or later I'll find my self a 100 giger or more :\

I figure that $10.00 a gig is a good deal on most major HD. The part that trips people up, me encluded, is the rebate game. Be sure to read and understand the conditions of the rebate...a lot are timed (only good for so many days).

Best of luck with your search and hope ya get a good deal on your HD.

In my case I always have to double the numbers (2 hard drives)

See, it's great when you have a 120 GB filled with 100 GB of data, but the fact is...they all die one day ;)

Funny how people seem to forget this... B7

Whoa, Maybe I should check out the hardrive at best buy,

BTW doesn't it say Minimum of 15 per store? That would been that there could be a bunch.
