3D 3d show off room

I agree with Gaussian. It's not whether your HDD will die, it's when it will happen.
Better have two of 40gig than one of 80.
Best is to have a rack in which you can put rthe second, or third to backup. Quite cheap around here. But $100 for 40 GB is normal here.

GOT IT!!!! After 4 hrs. straight messing with it, and another 2 hrs. after that, I finally got it working. I installed Poser4 on it in less than 2 minutes! This puppy's FAST. O, and in Bellingham, they have like over 20 of these over there [stuned] Wohooo! [excited] [excited] [excited]

I haven't had a whole lot of time to work on Buzz. Some of you folks are blowing me out of the water!

So, I thought I would do something a bit different. I ran through my archives and tossed together a bunch of junk real quick like.

3D Gallery

Stu, I recently found this:
The Human Head
Lot's of good information. I know I'll be using it in the near future.

(Alistair, I'll be getting with you in the next few days.)

Hi Guys! :D

Hey i haven't posted in here yet, so i thought i might, just so i could say i did... :P

BTW... excellent stuff thus far from everyone. Keep at it guys, you're coming along great. :righton:

I just thought i show once again how great i think this new Wings3D app is. In under 30 minutes (i was taking my time too), i smushed together this basic head. I can't believe how dag-nabit simple it is to make eye sockets and lips, and mouths, etc!...

Use the BUMP function for these... it'll take you literally seconds to create these usually very time comsuming facial characteristics.

I don't have any specific plans for this head, so if anyone wants it to further develope it into something, just say so and i'll post it up for download.

Cya!

Great to see what can be achieved in less than 30 min Mark :righton:
I played with Wings 3D a few times and rendered some models in Cinema 4D without a problem.

One might call Wings 3D the Xara X of 3D :D

I enjoyed your 'gallery showing' Stroker! Good stuff! :righton:

It's hard for me to appreciate these 'wire heads' 'cause I've never worked with a 3D app before, but I suspect that it entails a great deal of knowledge, talent and practice... ;)

What I would love to see here is a project through to completion. Not a tutorial but just a "run-down" in one single post. IOW a 'start' image (wire-head guy) followed by some 'in between' stuff and then a finished project. And then, I'm curious as to how long it takes (going through the various steps) to get to the final rendered image... :\

Any 3D enthusiastic "takers"? [confused]

Still workin on the car, but going slow :( Well, im having troubles welding the two identical sides together. Well, will post my progress later today :D ;)

;)I look forward to seeing how you're making out Alistair! [excited]

Btw Alistair, did you try what Gidgit came up with about how to "weld" them together? I believe it's in that same "car thread", maybe you miseed it.

Hi all, wow, 4 days on the couch with a wicked flu, second in as many months but this one was plain nasty... still feel achy and yucky, but am able to sit up for a bit now...

now then, first off, yea Mark, you go man... glad to see you keeping at it and enjoying... I guess you are all settled in a bit and are getting your routine somewhat stabilized... ( hehe, you know what little Seth is doing when he stretches and smiles ;) )

Wendy... good idea, I am game and will do something up as energy allows, and I hope some others will also take up this challenge...

Allister, you can do it man, I just knows you can :D

Stroker... hey hey, way to go, looking good man... [thumbs up]

Hey Gauss... welcome back dude... :D

talk to you all soon, and in the mean time...

Happy Creat'n all :D

Welcome back gidgit from 4 days on the couch! ;) [upset] Man there's some scary s**t in the flu virus department ciruclating these days!!!
Wishing you well... :)

O yea, oops, didn't see that reply, but it still doesn't help.

simply duplicate, move to side along axis, flip, move back along axis to position
flip, move back along axis to position, I can't do that. I can cut the car in half, copy one side, flip it, but when it comes to lining them up, its a pain in my @$$, and truly, it is ;) I tried everything, and when I switch it to another angle, it looks like this: (and sometimes it looks A LOT worse)

Hi all, thanx for your kind wishes... [hugs] yea, it is a nasty nasty bug for sure... and that there are even worse strains out there is just unreal...

Hey Al, could you include a shot of this with the axis showing, and please remember to hit "r" to reset the view first... we will take it from there...

Thing I am trying to figure is how it would be hard to line up if you are moving the duplicate straight out sideways... not down the length (say if from the front of the car to the rear is along "z" ), but rather, move along "x" out sideways and back... (depending on which axis is which in this case for your project here... )

hey, we will get this... ok? ;) :)
