Opinions on website design

O.k. Wow it has been such a long time since I was on here last. My sincerest apologies to everybody, I have not forgotten about all the help you have given me or about my commitment to honor you on my site. My site has been down for just under 12 months, but I am back and I am going at it again, fresh as a daisy and twice as keen. I am using crzykate58's design work with my own edits to have it feel more me.
I am re reading all the comments this has received so that I can take it all on board again. I am busy getting the website up and running one page at a time, and fixing as I go.
crzykate58 could you tell me the name of the font you used for the BIO text in your design please I like it and it's going in to support my text headers and the Papyrus thank you ibclare will be donning the role of Page Header with a little waz jiggery. New Updated website pics to follow but for now, here is a certificate I designed last year while I was teaching just to show you where I am going. It is printed on a whiter eggshell/mottled highlighted high grade card with slight undertones of grey whispering through to show the texture of the card more.

Hey, what a fluke. Sorry. Glad to hear you're getting it going again.

I don't recognize the font, but if you look on dafont.com, try a\Asian style fonts. Or you can PM crzyKate; she hasn't been here for awhile. It would be nice to see here too.

I look forward to seeing more. And this: whiter eggshell/mottled highlighted high grade card with slight undertones of grey whispering through! Now that's a description, lol.

Pepperbel I am very sorry for not mentioning your input also; Thank you. I am trying to figure out a way to get the wallpaper of the website to show through without affecting the integrity of the information contained within the pages, I was also toying with the idea of have a leafy breeze clip art flowing through the home page just to add another dimension to it but I'm not sure if that will be too much or not? As you will see I have taken crzykate58's concept which shares your idea of bringing the page tabs down and moved the bamboo to running down the side. Thanks for the input.

Well you know if you can't be visual be expressive. Thanks ibclare, I will pm crzyKate and see if she still has the info on or the font itself. Not sure what you mean by fluke though? - Thanks for the like fxchannelhouse, I didn't want the cert to be colorful tbh, I'm not a huge fan of color on a certificate as you usually only get them out every now and again to show people your achievement and that is what I was after the cert representing, an achievement within a Martial Arts forum that was still pleasing to the eye. My regular classes have color in their certificates but only because they are children and they like colour.

Heya!

Glad to hear that you're charging at the website again! :D Go you!
I don't want to sound like i'm constantly changing your ideas and stuff, but just as a small suggestion (not that you have to take it or anything) but for your certificate, you might want to consider keeping the logo and such the same as what you have on your website, just for consistency sake :)

Also, for certificates, my mentor has always told me, the joy of certificates is the simpler the better, so i've just attached an idea of something you might like to consider ^_^
