New Tutorial is up...

Thanks Gaus! I usually go my own way when I start to get lost in the tut! Sometimes it doesn't turn out half bad. I don't know, being a wannabe artist you get more, thumbs down then you ever get thumbs up. It is a dog eat dog world out there for sure! Thanks again![sleepy]

I hear ya Linda! ;)

Wendy and Linda, you both have some cool new avatars :righton:
I always like it when people try a new avatar; it gives the board some extra "spice"...well, you know what I mean ;)

Thanks Gaus ;)

Spice I know about!

thanks all.[oops]

Hi Pakmn, glad you could make it over. :)

Is it possible to post an example image of what you have? It would be much easier to see what's happening.

I think it sound like just a simple missing step is all. But post a reply and attach a sample if you can ok?

sample 1

This is what i get when i apply the posturize adjustment layer, my lines are straight,

sample 2

This is what i get when i apply the spherize filter, your lines seem to be curved downward and around the sphere, mine are straight

PAKMN, to add an icon or an avatar like we call it;
  • click on user cp (top of page)
  • click on Edit Options
  • click on Change Avatar
  • go to the section You can upload an avatar from your computer
  • click on the browse button
  • select you file on your hard drive
  • click on open
  • click Submit Modifications[/list:u]The maximum size of the avatar is 75 by 75 pixels and the file size should be kept under 10 KB.

Hey nice stuff people.
Good experimenting! [excited]

And welcome to any new-comers. ;)

SUE...
"...I realised that I could still see my gradient layer ..."

Was that something YOU did/created? Or something the tute told you to do? Technically, your base gradient and the Adjustment layers should not be a problem, even if you leave them visible. Because when you merge them together onto the single layer, that should cover them up.

Right?

You know, in a way I'm happy that some designs don't turn out the way they were planned, because that shows some interesting new stuff.
I like your last one PAKMN.
