3D New Poser Thread

Vee what I try to do sometimes is create the background in PS and reder the ships etc. one at a time in Poser and then add them in Photoshop. Saves a little on the render time, however, you do loose a little of the 3D effect :B

Good work all of you.
Vee, I got the pun (Sebulba and the Enterprise... :bustagut: )

One of the main difficulties with Poser is that the basic setup isn't spectacular. You have to maually adjust your shadows etc or they are real horrorshow.

But morphs...ahhh...try to make those yourself...

Vee: I NEED MORE RAM.
Vee, just slash prices on those space-ships for RAM! [:I That's an awesome
image, my friend!!! :}

Nikkie
, woohooo... another great creation! :righton:

The face looks really good Rick! Her expression, her pose and the setting are great! :righton:

:\ It's just too bad that her arms look like they're made of the rubber... is that the norm when you 'bend' in Poser? [confused]

Thanks Wendy - yea the arms do look like rubber - I think it is in the geometry of the model I used - however, I should have taken a little more time in PS to iron out the kinks. [upset] [upset]

Anyway I wanted to show this one as it is my first attempt at importing a Poser model into trueSpace. The model is a Poser mesh imported into a water scene I created in TrueSpace. The moon in the background is from a free bg pic at Renderosity.

I will need to perfect this technique more I know - but not to bad for a first try I thought. Of course the jpg compression raises hell with the detail as always, but we all have to live with that [confused] [confused] :B :B 8}

Nice work guys :D

Rick your last pic reminds me a bit of a Frazetta or Vallejo just the airbrushed type of feel the bg adds :)

Are you open to some tips?

Good work over here indeed!

Rick: I would blur the horizon a bit in PS. Water is always a bit hazy on the surface, and this is visible in the distance. Also: water on the shore is less transparant than water in a swimming pool as it carries sand and other things in its waves.

Just some details, no real crits. :righton:

:righton: Another wonderful creation, Rick!

You have a real knack for creating a 'scene' and a story with your images! :) ;)

I have been looking and looking for a model like this - this one is a free 3ds creation and the modeler didn't even leave his/her name.

I have had it for a while but could not get the textures right so I never used it. But as I grow better with Poser 5 and understand the materials room a little better i have been able to come up with a fairly good texture.

So as I have always been a nut about square rigged sailing ships here it is.

I will most probably use it or parts of it in other renders in the future.

Terragen background of course. [shhh]

And a question : in the below image is a pic of the Canadian flag,

The picuture I have is an animated gif file - is there a way I can import this animation into a static image and make it move? I suppose that I may need to create a new animattion with the main pic as a backgound, and a layer for each movement of the flag.

Any thoughts on this.

BTW this is my desk top
Let me know what you think

Well here is my Pirate on his ship, he has his Ship, his trusty cutlass the blue sky and an endless expanse of ocean - what more could he want [confused] [confused] - SOME CLOTHES - :bustagut: :bustagut: :bustagut: I have been searching for a pirate outfit for him but to no avail - I might just have to break down and paint him a suit :(| :(| %} %} :B

Don't look JOY [saywhat] [saywhat] [saywhat]

wow, that's alot of modeling going on there Rick... but yea, now needing Pirate clothes or something :D

Thanks gidget, but the ship model is not of my creation, it was a free model I picked up on the web, I did however do the textures in PS and applied them in Poser

Yep, you've answered your own question, Rick! ;)

Awesome images guru! :D :}

[shhh] And forget what gidgit said about your model needing more clothing... [:I :\

:D I'm demanding 'equal rights' here... after all, your "dolls" are always scantily clad... ;)

Wendy :bustagut: :bustagut: :bustagut: [sleepy] [sleepy] [confused] :shocked: I do something with that in mind soon.

But as you did mention my 'Dolls" take a quick peek at this one.

She is a free model available online, and used quite a bit throughout the Poser community - but the funny thing here is that she is called the Maya Doll.

I wonder if there is a resemblance [shhh] [shhh] :bustagut:

:righton: She's a "doll" alright, Rick

... just like our own Maya! :D

This is an equal time post

Couldn't do up that Hunk for you Gurettes without showing a little pussy for the Gurus :bustagut: :bustagut: :bustagut: :bustagut: :bustagut:
