3D New Poser Thread

That's right erik. Since 3rd week of last month, all registered and new registered members during the period were given PClub membership for one month (ending 21 Feb). After this date, those who do not choose to continue the PClub subsciption will be reverted to "commons membership". That ends the $1.99 purchases and access to the PC area, DAZ Studio updates, exclusive Pclub freestuff items and stuff .

But if you are interested to continue , you can pay by wire transfer ( 3, 6 months or one year subscription). There are bank charges tho but I prefer it this way. I too, don't want my card credited every month.

If interested, contact and request this from daz sales so they'll take note of your intention and supply you the wire transfer details.

Ahhhh... thats nice too Maya.... I tried Bryce4 sometime back, I'll have a go at it again.

Ooops! ;) I should have been clearer about the "Bryce" I meant here in the last image. Sorry, Vee, for the confusion, I forgot there was a program called Bryce also, and I've never used it. What I meant was that the background in the image came from inspiration from views of Bryce Canyon here in the states (southwestern Utah)...it is quite an amazing place in land formation. Thanks. :D

:D :bustagut: Looking for Bryce Canyon in Bryce!??! [confused] :bustagut: :bustagut: That might be a bit difficult! hehe...

Here's another Poser image I created back in Oct. of last year...thought I'd link to the original post of mine...the hair was part Poser then a bit of brush work in PS.

:D Gees, thanks Vee, Rick and Nikkie! ;\ :D

Nah, I haven't been holding out, :bustagut: I just haven't been able to get to playing with Poser much yet. This was created with morphs to V3, then the addition of one of the wing styles from the Dark Wings pak and a BioBorg texture. PS was used afterwards to enhance the coloring, add more shadows here and there, add some changes to the hair, nails, skin, etc. and the electrical/energy/magic (whatever :\ stuff) cast from her hands. Also in PS the background was a texture off a ship I enlarged and did a few coloring/blend mode layers with to get the corroded and greenish mottled look to. I liked the end result but it looks nothing like what I began with, and that was a lot of fun. ;)
From what little I've done with Poser I've found it is loads of fun and there's no limit to what you can create with it, be it in 3d styles or others. It's also a great tool for planning ideas for traditional paintings on canvas, etc....saves a lot of time in composition and trying out various coloring schemes, lighting, etc.

When I get my website overhauled I'll put a link to it, I've been putting it off as there's so much I want to change about it now, so many new images to add, like this one, it's rather daunting as I'm no web designer expert, there are a lot of artwork pages to change, and fooling around with Dreamweaver4 gives me a headache [confused] :bustagut: ...but I'll get to it. ;)

Like it a lot. (the wolf I already knew, but it still is very impressive, unbelievable in fact for vectors!).

As for V3: you can download the uvmaps to draw upon.
Yet many people say it's easier to create textures for V2 and then use the texture converter.
I want to create textures myself. FAR from lifelike. As known on Earth that is. Hehehe...

o, btw: Sassy hair for SP also works for V3, and...it costs 1.95 over at DAZ if you become a (temporary) member. Add 1.95 for the extra textures for it and for $4 you have good value for your money.
Loads of tweaks, and the quality is good. I'll post an example soon.

Ahahhhh.... I did say DAZ was a bad influence on one's spending habits .... especially mine :bustagut: :bustagut: .....

The cuffed tail hair looks good. But I'd better hold the purchase til I see erik's sample.

Ya know, we've been too preoccupied with DAZ, RDNA also has good deals (check out the REAL DEALS - $2.50 / item) ... Renderosity has good products (pricey tho).

here we go.

No postwork at all (normally I would add a shadow on the white of the eyes cast by the upper eyelid, something P never does, and I would blahblah)

The hair does not load in the correct position, but this can be easily adjusted.

Sorry i sended her to the PSG barber

I sent the beefcake to the barber, too :bustagut: .

Finally found a little freetime to play a bit. Here's mike's new look.....

The Mihai hair looks good. Guess I got to get the textures for it.

In fact ........ Wonder how it looks on me [shhh] :bustagut: ....

careful vic..... you might get what you ask [shhh] ........

Nikkie, download Kozaburo's hair..... You gotta search that link - Digital Babe, - (Ithink).... he's got a lot of free one's.......

This one's suppose to be for Alistair.... but appropriate I post here.

vee

Awesome work guys !! :} :}

Thanks for the link Vee
BTW did you have fun in London last weekend ?? 8[ :D

well i did ;)

Nudity Warning

Vee looks quite comfortable there :bustagut: good job Nikkie :righton:

Nikkie you found Koz's hair I see :bustagut:

I don't ussaly post these here, as I didn't want to offend the ladies- but Nikkie opened the door - ha ha - did a little mod to the original as you can see.

I like this technique I think it has a little more artistic value than just a plain Poser girl with breasts. This is Victoria 2 with the Yuma character by Stefyzz, and Kozs' hair

If you want to see the original it's in my gallery at the Saloon

As you probaly all know Poser is one of my favorite programs, some people think that us poser people are playing with dolls, and in a way maybe we are, but it is fun. I might have postd this one before, if so sorry for the repeat, but it is one of my favorites.

Hope you enjoy

PS it's in the Saloon as well

I can make a space avalabe for user submitted images in the Saloon Gallery if anyone is interested - the artist will get full credit for the piece and it will never be used by anyone else (I can disable the copy permissions), if you would like to show off an image and you don't have your own gallery contact me. Of course you could always use the forum, but I can't be responsable if those images are copied.
