Are there any symbols with special meaning aside from the original Marines logo that would be nice to include in this design? For instance, the stars on the original one. I do find symmetry to be the best bet for a symbol that's going to be around for a long time.. Folks who just threw up some layered roster images, rather than making a vector image aren't doing the prospect of printing in various mediums (coins, shirts, patches, etc.) very much justice.
I beg your pardon. I did no such thing. My contributions were carefully thought out, meticulously selected from photographs, and if I knew what other symbols were expected, those would have been added. I do original work and I try to think outside the box, so be kind and fair in what you say to those of us who take a lot of our personal time to contribute to a great cause. I have worked on this since polhamus asked for it originally and I have great respect for our service men and women, especially the Navy and the Marines.
If symbols are specified, I can make the vector images as well as anyone. Incidentally, the eagle and warrior images are created in such a way that they are vector images and those which are not are essentially color fields and can be simplified as needed. The banner is a vector image, shadowing cn be removed or created in vector lines; no, I did not make this banner. I found the banner and liked it better than the one I had made. Problem with that? The insignia took me nearly an hour to outline properly with the pen tool. And this is a symbol that may be desired, whether it is created by my hand and imagination or not.
Thank you, Clare
