What are some good books to buy to learn Web-Design?

I find choosing colours for websites very overwhelming when doing websites, so I find Kuler very helpful, as long as you don't deviate away from the colours in your scheme. You just then have to decide what colour is for what, but if you have designed it in Photoshop first, it is easy to see...

Global Internet Censorship may become a Reality

Tor has been going for absolute years, and used to be able to use it to skip login screens at places like starbucks for limitless free internet, instead of just an hour. Good times. This censorship has been in the pipe line for a long time, and there are certain governments who will push this...

    Logo revision help - thanks!

You may find free help quite hard to get for what I can only presume is a profitable business, though if there is anybody willing to do this, it would be helpful to them to know the name of the fonts used in the logo. Also, are the edges of the star meant to be so rough?

    Get creative

I used the image of a Wood pigeon to map the colours to the grey-scale information of this picture and the coat turned out to be red. Fancy that.

    Adding colour to greyscale images

The accuracy in colourizing the images taken from the MastCam has to be questioned when in the noticeably 'French' words of the blogger, "I have acquired good working protocols and produce images that satisfy me","my compositions with attention to stick as close to reality , or at least to my...

    How do I remove this?

It looks like you have done everything right, apart from adding a new layer in between the background layer and the layer with the mask. On this new layer, you put a new picture of a wall, or just fill the layer with a colour. Then duplicate the layer with the layer mask and right click the...

    Ironworker

Why not play with having it both B/W and a bit of colour. I think it gives it a lot more feeling.

Random stuff I did in College and anyway megathread! (Pic heavy) (Bit random)

My views of overly abstract art and cheese burger propaganda aside, most of it looks pretty good. I hope you didn't find the nature of the design element of your course as tedious as I did with mine.
