Thanks for the comments all, I won't be publishing this site untill I get a little better with PHP and MySQL. Right now it is the MySQL that is giving me problems [confused] [confused]

But I am sure I will come up to the challenge in the long run.

Well the Photoshop Saloon is up and running, even got the Forum working today, but it sure lonely over there, just me :(| :(| :(|

I wouldn't ask anyone to leave this forum to come to mine, but it would be nice if you poped in from time to time

I've never tried a forum before so it is a real learning expierence for me }P }P

Congrats Rick!!! Well done!! :} 8))

Just one little thing I noticed on your main page ;\ , the text for News & Updates, Navigation and such is black. It is very hard to see against the background color. White would look much better, easier to read.

On your forum at the top where you have The Photoshop Saloon there is a ghost box showing up with a missing gif tag showing through. Here is the problem in your code:

td background="templates/dvdfuture/images/dvdfuture-top-bg.jpg" align="right"><a href="index.php?sid=a45bc555e7bb1b908256de06ebd97fe5"><img src="templates/dvdfuture/images/dvdfuture-theme-title.gif" width="355" height="100" border="0"></a></td>

The align right is the ghost gif that is breaking up your header Rick

Also make your CSS external and that will cut down on the code amount to deal with.

I think you have done a wonderful job for your first board Rick!! :} :} 8))

Lily -- I just found the beginning of this thread! I really like your site and the disjointed rollovers are very cool. Your work is very powerful. You know how I always enjoy! I have a good memory but its better to see your art and photography all together at one place. %}

Here's a few comments about this wonderful work-in-progress.

-- I would suggest making the icon photos in gallery page clickable too. I kept wanting to click the photos instead of the type. Maybe its just me being lazy!

--I would put a country for Split and Duborvnile, I have no idea where those beautiful places are. Excuse my ignorance in world cities :{ I hope I'm not the only person who is so ignorant about geography. [saywhat]

--The cleanness of the site is nice however I found I kept looking for more navigation on each page. Navigation across the top like they do on PST comes to mind.

I'm bookmarking the page today!. Ahaaa I also like the way you did the links page, from the graphic icon to the content page. Nice.

Have a big finish, the start is A++ atttractive.

Joy Thank you so much for visiting my site and for the comments and compliments.

- The icon photos are linked to the gallery too, but somehow Los Angeles and Split don`t work. Going to fix that right now. Thanks!

- Very good point. Split and Dubrovnik are very old mediterian towns in Croatia. Both are very beautifull.

- For the navigation: At this point I am not really very sure how I would like to make a final look. I will work on this too.

And those are updates: I finished part of the Fashion section and Free stuff ( I do belive that you would like those very much). I will upload some tonight.

And now I have a question before publishing : As you all know my daughter is Fashion designer and stylist. I wont to use photos of her work that are published in magazines : Vogue , Lucky and etc.

Would I have any copyrights issues. Certunaly I will give a credit to the photographer and magazine.

This is very imortant to me , so pls advice!

Thanks in advance.

I still can not save css styles in front page! I did change the name of the file, and that didn`t make any difference!
The only time I am able to save it is if I use ones that comes with Front page. \:]

Lily,

I just tried one I created in Dreamweaver. I had no problems making edits and saving the file. Make sure in your options folder in FP that FP is the default apps to handle css files. That may be your problem. I also created a new one and named it test.css with no problems. I have FP 2000.

Things to check:

The folder name is yourstylename
The css file name is yourstylename.css

I will PM you my email address. If you want to copy/paste your css file into an email I will look at it for you to see if something in the code is causeing FP to barf.

Lily, regarding css, will Front Page allow you to manually input the css codes in the body content? And also input the attachment codes above the body content?
If so, you could you save your css page in wordpad, load the attachment in your html file. :B

However that sounds complicated because you'd have to hand code the body content (the old way), I'd be really surprised if Front Page didn't support css. Maybe visit their FAQ site. :righton:

Ahaaa Crotia huh? Really beautiful old cities. And I really enjoyed the fashion section. How do those models keep the curves but stay so skinny? don't tell me, I know they eat celery all day. }P

Yes make sure you have the external link in your html file so it can find the css file. Also I just loaded FP to verify and if you save a css file outside of your web folders then it barfs. I don't use FP anymore and I just wanted to make sure this was still an issue. You gotta love micro$haft!

Anyway this may be your problem Lily. Is the css folder in your webfolders?

Again I sent you a PM with the email addy. Feel free to contact me and we will get this worked out. :} :B

lindaw Thank you very much. yes the folder is in the web folders!

I have no experiance what so ever with coding and css style sheets but I do know that it can save time for making the pages.
I sent email to you!

Joy I had to delite the link to the fashion page, till I do not get answers about copy rights!

How do those models keep the curves but stay so skinny? don't tell me, I know they eat celery all day.

That is secret to me as well! \:]
