Trying to get this background

Hey guys, so i tried to copy this image background and what i did was have one layout and then apply lights and shadows but it didn't go as planned, any suggestions would be great

Yes, just the BG.

I think your best bet is to just use the clone stamp and work over the bike using an aligned sample. You can also try selecting sections of it, then use Edit/ Fill/ Select Content aware. May be another way, though. I'm sure is there is some of my more learned Gurus will enlighten you/me.

just used a gradient of those colours for anyone who wants to know how

then i added a bit of a texture and masked it out at the curve

Just one lil detail... the dark area in the image's foreground happens to be the bike's shadow... can do without that.

Hmm, ok let me give it a go, the copy and paste will hinder the effect, effect being it looks like its in a long room from front to back, but i appreciate it all the work !!

Tricky, time consuming and a lot of tool adjustments .... but with patience and persistence , I think with just merely the clone tool it can be done. With copy paste and blending, A lot of layers this will end up with.
