Trying to get a more realistic look?

Im working on this scene in photoshop, i have a really crappy camera so the render of myself dosnt look too great however the other element the car in midair which i have super imposed in the scene it just dosnt look too realistic and i was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on how to make super imposed objects in a scene "fit in" more.

Welcome Zaylong.

With stuff like this, it's usually playing with the blending options, contrast/brightness, levels and such. Choosing the right pictures can play a big part. You have to find suitable images based on lighting and angle. This makes superimposing a bit easier.

Based on your image, I can suggest making the you and car smaller and using the levels to make it darker. You may also want to try and sharpen the elements. See your feet? You gotta fix that to make it look complete.

There's no one way of doing it. It's sometimes a matter of trial and error. But like I said, it's in the matter of choosing the right picture elements.

He could always place another object over his feet to hide the inperfections.

thats exactly what i was gonna do, just throw some debris in there and cover it up xD and at dv_8 thank you, ill try your suggestions and get better, thanks.
 
I'm not sure you are ever going to get these images to match up perfect. All your images were shot in different lights.
Even the experts couldn't match up the light angles you have here. Even the many years of practice I have, I wasn't able to get the car to fit into the image. But good luck with your project, it has some great ideas in there.
