As iDad said, for those of us United Statesians, it's the Holiday Season Now.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the US.


Has anyone seen the JC Penny ads? Now they are an example of really crude Christmas advertising. Junk! Anyway, I wouldn't shop at JCP if it were the only Department store in town. Thank goodness for online shopping. And I don't agree that Christmas is only about the spirituality. I love the lights and decorations and I do give gifts to some specific people in my life. But I do that all year anyway -- when I can.

So keep to the spirit folks. I look forward to the corny movies of the season! And to renewing the friendship and family ties that are so important to a full life for me.

What is your favorite thing about the holidays?

Oh yeah, I love lighting up the fireplace and making a yule log in the fire pit!

The favorite part of the holidays is hunting for this years edition of our hand-made "PAROL" (Christmas Star Lantern). Just to get one will take us hours of hunting all over town for the right one that catches our eye.
