Second picture? You mean the one in the other "Better" picture? If that is what you mean, it was a free stockphoto that I got on a CD from buying a photoshop magazine.

I have been working on this all day, and I have been trying to do things right, I even followed a tutorial a bit, and still I screwed it up. Oh well, I have learned a few new things today at least, and I also know what I really need to try over again anf hope to get it right. I was trying to make a typographic poster again...

Thank you Idad, that is what I was doing when I needed help with merging groups, I have been typing and working on that text texture like crazy, and then I pretty much ruined it, and I thought that I knew how to use displacement maps, not today though lol. But now I think I know what to do next time.

Don't sweat it. I was so enamored with displacement map effects when I first start Ps, I wanted to wrap flags around EVERYTHING!!!

But they're trickier than it seems. Sometimes you really have to mess with settings to get the right look.

The text and texture look awesome. Keep working the variations!

Don't sweat it. I was so enamored with displacement map effects when I first start Ps, I wanted to wrap flags around EVERYTHING!!!

But they're trickier than it seems. Sometimes you really have to mess with settings to get the right look.

Hello again Clare . Yes the one with green eyes and red lips was a stock photo, but I changed the eye color to that etremely green, and made the lips much redder. The text layer on her face is the same one I used here that I made myself from scratch, by typing with white on a black background and changing the size of each word individually while I was typing them. I used several layers of text and moved them around on top of eachother, and rotated a couple of them so that they would run ( the opposite of horizontally, I can´t find the word, I just woke up lol).

Then I put shadows around each text layer with layer styles, and then finally I merged all the layers into one sheet of type on black background, and put another layer style on top of that. Then I used this sheet as a texture layer to put over the face with a displacement map. and then when I was done I tried dodging and buring around the face to make it look less flat.

That thing was a pain in the ass to make I´ll tell you... LOL!
