Putting on Text

Went to Select and picked color range then used the little drop down menu and selected white but when I hit ok it looks like it is picking out everything white on the page, not doing anything to it just looks selected or sparkling for lack of a better word.

Well found the feather feature and edges looking a lot better but still have not figured out how to get rid of the white I must be missing a step as I see no place after you pick the color where it says delete unless this an erasure item i am missing

Do you do the work on The Zoo part of this on the pic or do you do it and then add it? Have done it and all it does is keep selecting the beer bottles also and everything kind of sparkles or I guess it is selected but then thats as far as it go's.

Sorry.... emergency... had to dissappear for awhile. lol... not easy being online and doing work....

disregard my stooge image.... concentrate on your text image..... You're did right... as I said, it will select the white.... you have to hit delete.... one more thing before you do that (if you haven't done earlier..... your text image should be on its on layer and not a background.

I did the zoo part first.... but if you've dragged the zoo text into your new image, make the background image... (beer bottle?) invisible......

Does the Zoo part have to be rasterized at least I think that is what it is?

There's nothing to rasterize in the image.. RASTERIZE means to transform non-bitmapped images ( type , shapes , fill layers , smart objects ) into pixel based data so it can be merged with other layers..... your zoo text is a bitmapped, pizel based image.....

net went off one last question for tonight, all the times I have tried this I have never seen a delete button so I guess I am asking where do you find the delete button when you are ready to delete the background? Thank You

I am a little older but not that old..60..and not very computer savvy so it is kind of a grind but I am liking it more and more and I have to say your interest and replies along with the others has helped me a lot and hopefully nobody gets board with my questions. This is one that I will run on the monitors between music videos. Do you know about the magic erasure?lol Again, Thank You

Your not much older then I am ;) And I doubt anyone would get bored with your questions. Remember the only stupid question is one that is not asked.
