Wasn't sure if this was the right forum to post this cheat sheet.
Almost everytime I create an Action that involves Layers, I invariably go lookup the keyboard shortcuts as they often work better than mouse or trackpad clicks when recording an Action.
So I put together this Keyboard Shortcuts Cheat Sheet for the Layers Panel and thought what not save it in a post for others

For Windows systmes all you have to do is substitue CNTL for the Mac CMD and use ALT instead of the MAC OPT (I do not have a Windows system to verify that though)

I am going to double check all the shortcuts since one error was found and respost at that point.

John, this is very useful. One minor issue, though:

I use Stamp Visible (to new layer) all the time. You are also showing a command for Flatten Image (stamp visible) which has the identical shortcut keys except that they are listed in a different sequence. Are these truly two different actions? In my Windows-based CS5, when you press Ctrl+Alt+Shift it does not matter which sequence you press these keys. Once all three are pressed and you type the "E" at the end, it will perform Stamp Visible to a new layer but does not flatten the image. I'm not sure what happens on a Mac computer.

Good catch Rich.
I deleted it and will double check all of the shortcuts

OK here is a substantial changed "cheat sheet?". I went back and found a coupl more errors yet added a lot of about requirements for the command to work, what the command actually does in various situations to cover more of the nuances. I did this moslty for me because I run across times where I am asking myself "Why didn't that work?
Hope this is helpful. I put a question of the cheat sheet as its three pages long in three jpegs below.
Please give me feedback if you think it needs more clarity or you find erros and I will have it updated.
