I remember when the Dobby character first came out in the Potter movie Vladimir Putin publicly complained about the similarity.
It's the fist thing I thought of when I saw your post.

made a pirate of myself , couldnt get the shadows right on the eye

Edit - adjusted some shadows hilights

I used a piece of a photo for my face and it was not very good. I'll either get better or use someone else (don't have many recent of me).

I'd say, it's pretty good though. Good enuf, yep. Although your eyes are a bit dark, lol.
