Paint Brush Streaking

Hi Guys,

Wondering if you can help, I have customised my brush to the following settings for use for digital painting:-

Brush Presets:
Transfer - opacity jitter - control - pen pressure
Transfer - flow jitter - control - pen pressure
Smoothing applied

When i disengague the brush stroke and then reinitiate the stroke I get a "streaking" of the colour? Is there anyway to stop this?

that is because you opacity is not 100%.....if you paint over an area multiple times with less than 100% opacity the area will continue to take color untill it reaches 100% opacity.

Yeah I know that, but is there no way to adjust the blending or something so that it doesn't do that? If I don't disengage the initial stroke I am able to go back over the colour without this happening, but this is obviously unpractical for what I want to do.

the only way around it is to paint at 100 opacity but if you need it to be a different shade then paint on top of it on a new layer and then adjust the layer opacities for each shade

I have seen this brush set up used in a tutorial and it would be impossible to do the work the artist has produced without overcoming this (I have yet to recieve a response from them).

If it is not possible does anyone know of a good brush set up to achieve a similar effect?
