Ongoing attempt at Digital Painting

I think your "attempt" at a digital painting worked out fantastically.

Good work on the digital media.
Might I suggest a few things since I have been tinkering in this area myself.
I suggest Creating the starting art-work within the computer.
So, later on your out-line it will be easier to edit without loosing a chunk of your art-work; As this also removes the need to edit the beginning scan to get a clear image.
Along, with leaving the outline on a different layer this will open up a whole world of possibly for the color filling.
Also I suggest leaving all the "value" on a different layer. This way you do not end up redoing it half a dozen times before you get it right, I have learned this first-hand.
Along with my final tip...
Remember, there is more than one version of the brushes in photoshop.
And many customizations you can make to get good effects.
There are so many modifications you can make it almost gets to the highest amount of ridiculousness possible.
Sorry, if I restated any tips... but they are good tips.
