Been using PS and the other Adobe products since early 2000s in my print shop. CS6 which included Indesign and Illustrator) was one of the best versions which was simple to lean but quite powerful and served us well. I kept that version after I sold the shop and eventually had to get a subscription when CS6 was no longer support by the Apple system software.
With the new Creative Cloud PS, I find it much more powerful, but too complex and often hard to do simple things. I'm no longer using it for high end production stuff, but enjoy it primarily as a hobby.
