hey looking good Leejune :righton: I have been playing today to have time for another go at this but looks like your doing well so far
sfm

Ya nice texture Leejune that looks great. :righton:

2 things to mention, since you're asking:

1) Don't nudge down the reverse side of the curled corner too much. Look how it hangs too far below the actual face-side of the paper.

2) Be aware of how much 'curl' you give the corner. I've experimented quite a bit and discovered that a sheet of paper would not actually curl that much. The bent sides of the paper would look fairly straight when seen 'face-on' -- as the example in the tute is seen.

Other than those things, it looks as though you're getting a good handle on the techniques. Nice job. [excited]

Thanks Mark, have decided I am going back to your lesson on paths and fool around with this tool until I get a handle on it. Think at times I am trying for the intermediate class when actually, am still a BEGINNER [innocent]

My results...

That is absolutely excellent wbiss, your paper curl is perfect, and the
accompanying pets super! C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S1

Ya great job Wendy... that's a really nice use of the effect.

So... now i can rest a little, knowing that the instructions ARE somewhat legible. :D

This also shows that an obvious familiarity with Paths can be a deciding factor in one's success with this effect.

For those not all that familiar with Paths, just stick with it. It'll all come to a head sooner than you think, and you'll wonder what ever made you confused about them in the first place. :righton:

Wendy, that's wonderful! Love those kitties, and the creative way you've incorporated them.

Thanks all! [excited]

Yeah, Julie, I couldn't resist using some of my favourite subject matters on this tute! [excited]

Mark is right... once you "get the hang of it", it's not all that difficult! ;) [honesty]

beautiful Wendy :righton:

Hey Mark your so right, I try not to use paths because I don't know how....... but reading chapter 5 of Gare's book is proving very enlightening [:I

Tx Sue! :)

In hindsight, the only other thing that I "should have" (:\) done to make this image better and more believable was to have put in a drop shadow onto the paper where it curls... [oops]

Food for thought for future testers! ;)

Hell Again

Well, this looks interesting,,Ive been away for a while.dead puter.Had to redo it from the bottom up.This looks like the post it tutorial in a way and I will give this one try also. Good to be back on to see all the friends in this forum. :righton:

BIG TIME BUMMER on your dead puter :( PAKMN... but it's good to see you that you're back! [excited]

This page curl effect tute, is similar to the effect used on the "post it note" one... but it IS different, if you know what I mean! [honesty]

Give it a "go" and we look forward to seeing the fruits of your efforts! :D

I am impressed pakmn, you have done a great job I think. I need to have another go, my try at it was second rate at best.
