Paid Make a logo from a sketch for $20 CAD (about $14 US)

A friend asked me to do I logo for his construction company. He does all renovations but lately he's been doing a lot of window replacements, so I tried to make something that looks like a window. He also mentioned old school baseball logos and I was trying to catch that feeling with the word "edge". Lots of good font options in the other attachment.

I'm very flexible on design if you want to stray from my sketch.

Vector preferred but I'm happy with anything that can be easily vectored. So avoid complex gradients or subtle hazy shadows.

I will pay my favorite submission even if I don't end up using any of them.

I like them both, but my friend was not convinced. We went back to the drawing board and came up with something he really likes.
The first pic is pretty much the one, but he would rather use the word "Edge" from the second one
Something needs to be done so that we can read "Contracting". I like the underline with some sort of banner, but open to creative ideas here.
Would it be fair if I chose my favorite and paid one of you $10 cad now (no other work, no watermark removal), then let you keep going for $20 for the next iteration?
