Lighting Styles

Did you notice if the folder has been moved or deleted Bob?

The "Lighting Effects" folder should be in this directory structure:

[DRIVE]\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 6.0\Plug-Ins\Filters\Lighting Effects

This is an odd thing to have happen i must say.
And if your folder is still where it belongs, then i'd suggest another reInstall. And if THAT doesn't work, then i'd suggest you take this issue over to the Adobe U2U forums. Hopefully one of the tech guys will answer it.

hmmm... :{
Ok well... be sure to let us know over here if you get an answer from those Adobe tech dudes ok?

Thanks! :)

Good Luck Bobzworld! :)

Welp. I did a spybot cleaning, uninstalled PSand went through the registry uninstalling any PS files, then rebooted, re-installed PS ans still no Lighting Effects :(

oh well

What you should try Bob, is to install AFTER deleting the whole Photoshop directory by hand.

the response i got from Adobe was a link to what seemed to be the same prob for PS 7.
so i gave it a try but no luck :(

Gaussian, i tried, no luck again.

thanks guys

hmmm... this is really odd... i'm at a loss here to suggest anything else Bob.

Perhaps go see if the guys over at the psT board have any thoughts...?

Now that's what I call "drastic measures"! [saywhat]

:D not because of that ::D
actually, i was going to upgrade in a month or so but the mothterboard on my Dads computer went bad, so i'll give him my mother & chip and upgrade my system.
He gets a computer thats alot faster then what he has and i have a reason to upgraade now instead of later. :)

:P Well I kinda figured there might be more to it than that! ;)

i put an Asus A7V8X Motherboard & 2200+ AMD Chip (1.8 Ghz) but only 1 stick of 256 DDR 2700 ram, plus an GeForce 4600 128 mb graphics card.

now you see, i've always been a Pentuin fan, but.... you might say peer pressure made me decide on AMD because i know alot of people who use it, but i think of it as Research.

time will tell :)

Researcher Bob he he he I know what you mean - this year I have gone from an AMD to an XP to a P4, also ran ME, XP and now back to good ol 98 he he he now if I could just sneak in an LCD screen before the tax man uses me to mop the floor with he he he
