LOL. I hear that. Just goes to show you what a useless life I have at the moment. Well, I actually have to apply myself to job hunting for awhile today, wash the kitchen floor, and fold some laundry, and my gas tank has been on empty for 2 days (being unemployed it's not a crisis yet). Then I get to play some more.
OTOH, fiance has not left for work yet and I usually wait for him to go before I get bogged down in stuff, so maybe I have a bit of time to play while he showers and gets ready to go. Why not? Don't answer that, rhetorical.
You know what, I run into this fairly often and find myself making copies and flattening before I add more effects, etc. Here's the issue:
I'll have multiple layers and I'll add one to the top which I assume will place an object in the picture, unaltered from the way I design it when the layers are off. Lower layers will have blending mode adjustments or adjustment layers linked just to that layer. Yet the top layer will be affected by the lower layers even though transparency is 100%. Do you know what that's all about? IDK, maybe I'm dreaming. In this case, I can't expect an outer glow to overcome brilliant colors below it. But I swear there are times, yet I can't think of an example at the moment, so maybe I'm just being daft (isn't that a Brit word?). Tx, IB clare
