Ice Planet


OK....rocks......blueish greenish rocks! LOL!!! Looks like shrubs.....but I did not zoom in on them.

Here they are with some snow.... (fast and rough with no blending)

Yes! Again, it's only my opinion, but I like that much better!
 
The image really looks impressive in the preview but the full scale version looks, well, meh. Nonetheless, it isn't too bad of a start. Here are a few items I noted.

1. The spaceship has some kind of 1 pixel stroke around much of the edging and should not be there. This appears to be a leftover on your stock.

2. The mountains have a 1 pixel stroke as well, as if you did not extract them properly.

3. The streaks in the sky background are really blurry.

4. Instead of blurring parts of your terrain, try adding in some fog over "distant" areas.

5. You have some black clipping in your image. You must have added an overlay or posterize filter. I suggest undoing that.
 
Some blurring is needed...

All elements close and far away are all crisp and in focus. Which would be the case in real life. As Paul mentioned in a previous comment, it would help with perspectives.
 
Fixed a couple things. Added a slight blur to the mountains. Couldn't fix the streaks in the sky cause those where there in the stock I used, only way to fix that would be to use a different stock. And there is no black clipping.

Nice touch I like the very first one as much as last.
 
Nice work... :-) The ship is some (too) lowpoly 3D model, guess, but it doesnt matter, in the scale you used it it is good...:-)
