I need help with extracting a specific part of an animated GIF.


Thank you again. I will look into how to use the pen tool for layer masking (and actually reading the manual on Quick Selection, heheh). And I understand what you mean by pixels with transparency between 1% and 99%, but I will also have to look into how the magic wand tool works. Have a nice holiday, everyone.
 
Very interesting thread. I learned quite a bit on animated GIF and some of the pitfalls as was pointed out. Pretty fast moving thread. I was typing a response this morning about the "don't dispose" (don't think I hit send) and by the time I looked again the problem was already totally solved. Thanks to all that posted, it helped me too. John
