I think Flash may be your only option if you want it to be navigable w/o html. Flash is the dominant program in this category. The only thing I can think of to get around this is to design a java applet. But applets are just as hard to learn as Flash, they take longer to load, and theyre not as flexible. Use any other program and its likely that about 99% of people won't have the plugin to run it. So i'd say flash is your best choice. Why don't you want to do it in Flash???

If u go on my site.. I want to create a hover button system.. I cant make it with flash because the photoshop files i save for web arent for that kind of stuff.. is there any way i can make the Fade to White.. on hover effect with Image Ready????

Yes you can create hover buttons with the different rollover states you make in any color you choose. ImageReady will save the html code for those hover buttons when you save it.

Just jumping in to give you a quick answer.

I'd say that if you learn to use flash it could look professional.. depends on what you do.

as far as dreamweaver MX I purchased a copy of it and its not too hard to use. Rollovers aren't hard at all you just need to create the variations of the image your using as your button.

flash can look very smart and perfectly professional if done well..... check out the macromedia site www.macromedia.com to see some examples. Just incase you dont realise it downloading and using macromedia dreamweaver or any other macromedia peice of software is strictly illegal. So either dont use it or dont tell anyone youve got it lol.

Like I downloaded Dreamweaver MX.. but, id say thats hard to learn..
If Dreamweaver MX is very difficult to use, then why don't you try notepad once your trial period is over :D

oh oops i suppose it could be a trial i have dreamweaver and its not hard to use as long as u know good html...... :righton:

Sorry, but I don't agree with that.

I know very little HTML and I can still make functional web sites that are easy to navigate and to maintain. I'm using Dreamweaver since version 2 and made the switch to 3, 4 and MX and not one moment I considered Dreamweaver difficult to use because of my little knowledge of HTML ;)

OK this is silly

Speechless.......Flash not professional......um here is where you get the same quality info on FLASH, that you get here @ gurus bout PS....

www.flashkit.com

hit the tutorials and the forum, this IS the only resource for serious developers, give it a month, then see how "professional" we are looking...
:righton:

dont tell us that here! im a cop! lol jk

Can I make 1 small suggestion???

I think you should remove the drop shadow from your center text, its a small thing but ruins an otherwise nice looking site, and hurts my eyes 8}

just an observation.

lol... gaussin.. i downloaded it off kazaa no trial
Very clever to admit that you use an illegal version (Photoshop too?) while leaving your E-mail and IP address...
I just hope that people like http://www.bsa.org aren't as smart as me (Network Expert), because I would be able to track you down in 5 minutes... and I'm dead serious ;)

Getting worried? You should be! :D

the layers in dreamweaver make placement of things very easy as well.

I wonder if macromedia offers rewards for catching people with pirated software... it would offset the costs of purchasing their software legally. And it would probably lower prices if people started turning people in. And my taxes probably wouldn't go up because most likely the person would just be fined rather severly like the Music industry is doing to people. I think I'm gonna look into it.
