I've passed this image while browsing on the internet and took my attention.

I wonder how did they do this.

Can someone be kind enough to tell me "please" how to achieve this effect?

I would to a search on the internet but I don't have idea what tags/keywords it may belong to.

Thanks in advance whoever will reply to my thread and will explain how to do this.

Hi, I guess it is a lot of work. First you can just free transform/warp the sea edge, but you have to restrict it up in order not to distort distant water lines. And then I would create the water inside the "cave", probably from other water shapes on the picture, clone sand and add the bottles. But to be honest this is too difficult for me to start. I hope someone else will describe better for you.

Thanks for your reply. It gives me an idea.

JUst a quick question that I believe you can answer.

Will I use lasso tool first in order to separate the sea edges where the warp/transform takes place?

I really appreciate your response and hopefully with my follow up question.

P.S. Admins/Mods please moved this thread in proper board if I posted it wrong. Thanks.

to me it looks like
1. an image of a beach plus a second image of a boy
2. the sea edge including half of the sea (not just the edge) has been selected
3. that selection has been copied to new layer and moved forward (covering half the sand)
4. the back of the layer then cloned to cover the seam
5. then the front edges warped up
6. boy placed in right position and random objects added

thats most of how i would do it

Thanks for your reply.

I would like to try it out if you would include what tools might be use to attain this effect and I will just implement it.

I already downloaded sea image and will just make the effect without the boy first.

Thanks again dataflow.

You have to restrict the area you warp, otherwise you have bowed horisont.

And in order to make it under you have to darken the "cave".
