punintended ;)....That's SIC............ SicSid

wow that is spot on what i am looking for. thank you so much :)

you say in step 3 to fill in the jagged lines by painting it with vector. how do i paint it with vector?

sorry for being a noob :(

thanks for all your help everyone

Did you import a Vector Shape?? You can do that but when you do it Rasterizes so it's no longer a Vector. I think you mean just Shape.. Photoshop is not capable of drawing Vectors.. I wish it was because i would have no use for Ai anymore..

Not meaning to take away from what you did because you hit the nail on the head!! But it may confuse members when you say make a Vector when Ps is not able to do that..

Shapes and paths in Photoshop are vectors.... and you can even make vector masks. Type is also vector unless you rasterize it. Photoshop does have vectors, just limited capabilities with them.

ok so i have tried this tutorial with 2 other images and i cant get it right :( so i decided to try it with the same image as the example.

step 1: i cut out the image using the magnetic lasso tool
step1.jpg

step 2:
step2.jpg

now this is the absolute best i can get with the stamp tool and for some reason its nothing like the tutorial picture that sicsid did :( its really getting me down that i cant do this because sicsid has done an amazing job and i want exactly like he has done but i just cant do it.

any ideas why mine looks so different from his at this stage?
