help newbie with web buttons effects!!

hey guys!! i have attached the web button that i have created. unfortunately it looks really plain. i dont really know what effects to use for it. im jus starting to get comfortable with photoshop. ill appreciate it if someone can help me out n tell me which effects to do or point me toward a tutorial

Have a look at the Styles window. I applied a few styles at random to some of the layers in your original file and came up with the attached PSD.View attachment powerButton.psd

hey joe trece thanks a lot for that psd. i wasnt expecting that. it looks pretty sick. im gogin to check those tutorials abdul suggested and play with the psd file.
