Help me see a way out!!

Ok so the image uploader works in Firefox... I've had a little play around with the logo again. changed a bit of the text and squares etc.

I was thinking about getting rid of the E and putting three horizontal lines just like the lines on the second image, but I don't really want to do everything for you that would be cheating so try it out yourself!

I liked the rectangular idea. That's really cool what you did BTW Blitz. So I took Josh's psd -- hope you don't mind, I'm only demonstrating -- and made this as an idea. No ellipse.

CEPL.jpg just a thought

Umm.. to summarize it we are in the textile manufacturing industry. The "E" stands for "Extrusions"

Ok anyways..i was doing some workarounds and i found a flaw. When i put a background other than white with the original logo in a letterhead, for e.g. blue, the logo still has the white background with it in a square shape around it. How to solve this?????

What do you mean by workaround? What kind of workaround?

I found your psd on the first post you made and opened it. I see no white halos, square, or border.

Have you considered something like this. I'm getting the impression you want to stay with you original idea. This version does reduce the glow on the triangles but there is a simple way to bring it back on the outside points. Inside, it obscures the letters and you may have to decrease the layer opacity more or increase the strength of the layer effects for the letters to pop. I increased the layer fx in the last one a bit but you could go much further on the satin and the gradient. Did you know, btw, that your inner glow and stroke cancel each other out?

Thank you so much for the detailed instructions. The bosses decided to stick to the same so no choice. And by workarounds i meant to say "just goofing around with the design" :P but i am getting the white square around the image when i am importing the .jpg file into a new PSD or a word file.

and @blitz i know it is to be done with photoshop LOL.. :P but the question is how?? can i have links to some good tutorials showing that??
