Guidelines for Written Tutorials and Written Tips.
Our goal is to only allow written tutorials that maintain a set of standards and quality that we feel our members enjoy and expect here at Photoshop Guru's. We expect all written tutorials to convey concepts and procedures which not only cater to a specific result but will assist the viewer in improving their skills.
As this is an English speaking community, we require that posted content be in the English language, so that it can be well received and properly monitored.
Please do not copy and paste existing tutorials. Your content needs to be original. Please do not post beginner or basic tutorials that are similar tutorials to those that have already been done. Do your research. Pick a topic that hasn’t been written about. Look online for existing tutorials to see if your topic has no other existing tutorials in written or video format.
Your tutorial must be detailed and precise, describing each step thoroughly. You must use common and accepted Ps terminology when describing a step(s).
You must add uploaded images/screenshots to demonstrate your steps. Do not link to images, they must be uploaded to the forum in order to preserve the integrity of the tutorial for future use. If possible or indicated, use identifying arrows, highlights, or text within the images/screenshots to target specific areas being discussed.
Note for members reading written tutorials.
This sub-forum is not a discussion forum. It's not the place to ask questions. If you do have questions about a tutorial, start your own thread in the General Ps Board. From the tutorial, please link the entire thread or a specific post to your newly created thread that you have questions about.
In the event you detect discrepancies in the tutorial procedures or inappropriate content that could have slipped by our watchful but tired eyes and ears, please use the REPORT BUTTON to send us a note stating the error or offensive content. We will review the written tutorial and take action if necessary.
