I'm curious, using AI, Can anyone make this 50 year old pic look new again.
I'm not having much luck using the trial S/W

Seems that this was scanned from a printed newspaper image/article. You're actually picking up the dot pattern of a linescreened halftone.

I tried Denoise and then a curves adjustment. Then, as requested, put it through Gigapixel which only really enlarges the image. Did no harm but no great improvement.
Once done with that, I added a levels adjustment.

Your original as a jpg:

Here's a conversion to b/w:

FWIW ... Scanned from a High School annual. I tried to Photoshop out the half Tone. The old oak alley is now a dance floor. I danced with my wife for over a month before she remembered my Name. What an impression I made :cheesygrin:. I think I'll not Buy GPAI right now. The current dance hall owner wants an old Pic
Which version would you Pick ???
Many thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean by version? Which image version? Which piece of software?

I think I'll send him the colored version after I work on the distracting hand.
