Hi all,

Dose anyone use Dreamweaver, or do most people use a different WYSIWYG Editor?

Please comment, and let us know, there are some web designers on this forum, what are your thoughts?

I use DW and absolutely LOVE IT!! I have tinkered with it in the past but i just sat down this past week and learned most of what it takes to build a site in DW using CSS & DIVS. I mocked up a site in PS, did all my slicing, exported and recoded it all in DIVS and CSS all in about 24 hours, most of that 24 hours was me getting picky and changing the layout in PS (you know doing some editing/fine tuning) the software itself is very intuitive imho, it helps cut coding time in half. I won't ever make another website with out it...

Tip: Get to grips with CSS & DIVS and DW will do most of the hard work for you!!

If your into web design then it's a must have imho. Using Spry Tabbed Panels is like a walk in the park with DW, you can easily fully customize anything in CSS and DW makes that super easy using the Properties Windows...

Thanks for the imput,

I think Dreamweaver is hands down the best web page editor. I use it for coding also, the code hint tools, coloring and snippets are awesome. I don't know what I would do without it actually :)

To me Dreamweaver is to web pages what Photoshop is to images.

Has any one ever heard of "mensa", cos that sounds like one of there questions

"Dreamweaver is to web pages, as Photoshop is to What?:"

I've been using DW since version 1.0, bugs and all back then.
Dreamweaver continues to be a part of my professional life to this day.
Gaussian stated the situation better than Adobe ever has:
"I don't know what I would do without it actually.
To me Dreamweaver is to web pages what Photoshop is to images."

I too am a Dreamweaver fan... and would welcome ideas of forums to go to which offer Dreamweaver support - anyone got a suggestion?

Not a problem... more interested in reading other people's problems and requests and learning from there... I think asking questions and seeing all the different answers is a great way to learn new ways of doing things....

Have tried to get into the forums - but when I click on Web Design Board - Web design I get a forbidden message come up... any ideas why or am I not allowed to Look??

I use DW for my sites. I really like it! I wouldn't call myself an expert by any means, but I've used it for a few basic sites and have really enjoyed it!

Did you by any chance mean "their questions" KRF?

I use dreamweaver all the time, and I love it! You can appreciate the function of each adobe program much more when they are used in conjunction with each other.

Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver are my tools when creating web pages. If you're building a website and not using Dreamweaver then most likely you're doing it the hard way.

i love dreamweaver, its what we used in the last half of a web design class i took. Spry is a great way to make a smooth webpage if you dont know how to use flash.
