Dodge Charger, asking for C & C please

OK, I'm liking the results I have now much more than the original post 24 hrs ago. I added smoke to the leading edge of the tire, added a second layer behind the car to imply smoke from the far rear (unseen) tire, filled in the wheel well a bit more and tweaked the skids some because I didn't buy the shape of them from last night.

I just can't figure out a good way to lift the car. It's currently 16 layers and 4 adjustment layers and I'm just a hobbyist/rookie PS-er. Unless I merge all layers together and go that route. Is that a wise or logical path to go down?

Anyway, here's where I'm at with this whole exercise...

Major improvement. And yes it's beginning to look real

I know you'll say - "Now he tells me".... But this is where I would also advise that sometimes its better to move, rotate, tweak to make sure every object is in its right place where you want it before doing the effects you want on it. This saves from the trouble of adjusting to compensate for major tweaks .

Anyways.... onwards......

Hard to say without seeing what the layers look like. But before you go further, Save the original file and save it again as a copy. This copy is what you will use to experiment further changes.

If the car has adjustment layers in it, group them and create a set which you then duplicate and merge. This duplicate is what you'll use for the lift.

You can also do it directly on the set with the adjustments. Which is why its better to work on a copy since you may be unsure of what you're doing and in case you ruin things that you can't undo, you have the original to create a new guinea pig to play with.....

When the lift is done you may have to adjust/nudge/rotate/tweak certain layers to match each other.

At this point, I can tell you're getting proficient enough to try what you've learned so far with your friend's corvette unless your geared on finishing this one and polish to SHOWROOM quality........

And you're egging me on (in a good way).

I really appreciate the tips and help.
I'll revisit this again this weekend because I want to earn that SHOWROOM status...:mrgreen:a
