Creating a cartoon version of my city hall

ibclare, If I wanted to draw this building from scratch, should I use PS? I was thinking about maybe tracing this and then adding in small details to show the shape of the building... but giving it more of the vector drawing look as opposed to the real thing. Thats what I meant by "cartoony" :OP

^^ noob

you can try using filter>stylize(i think) and then pallette knife it will mimic vector art in 2-6 tones but you may need to touch it up a bit

So you need something like clares mine or hoogles design or something totaly different lol?

Hi, sry, been at work. What program would you use for vector representation? It's a fair idea if you can draw a bit. You could even accentuate the cartoon character a bit more. It would take some work and patience to put back enough detail to make it recognizable, but it's not impossible. You could also do your vector drawing and add parts from the photo manipulation. If you do vector work in PS it would be best IMO to use the pen tool. If you haven't used it before, watch some tutorials and practice. For instance, I made the figure 8 with the pen tool so it can be manipulated countless ways by moving the points on the drawing.

But, I would say this is a matter of preference and what you are willing to do.
