'Could not complete your request because it is not a valid photoshop file'

Brilliant. Photoshop has a nasty habit of playing this trick on me but today I have worked on an image for 24 hours, for a commissioner and it was round about's finished. I had edited it simply an hour ago, and now it tells me that? I did the Properties and Last Previous Versions, nothing.
I am quite desperate for any answer now, and I tried to do Preferences and reset them all by holding CTRL + Alt + Shift and nothing came up!

Immediately after launching PS, hold down CTRL + Alt + Shift.

What's the extension? ie FILENAME.? Maybe changing it to .psd might help. But create a copy of the file before you try this.

dv8_fx - the extension was eyes.psd already.
