Children's Home: logo help

All very true Hawkeye. I guess unless one of us wants to follow the money and research Palmetto we'll have to take it on faith. As for myself, my time is pretty cheap right now, but that doesn't mean it should be. I hear ya. I'm just a bit disgruntled by the simplicity PCH apparently wants when we all put our hearts into ideas we thought reflected "CHILDREN." Maybe Burned Ice is right. But well, heck.

I can understand a simplistic logo a clean and crisp 1 at least I just don't get the palm tree reference in all honesty are the children going there for a holiday I doubt it in fact does not matter how hard you try to run the perfect children's home it is pretty much a miserable life so yes I would go for the brighter colours maybe not so complicated. also they have not specified what age group this home is for seems strange but you tend to find some are for babies/toddlers and so on but I have put up my suggestions they are not work of arts or anything and took me less than a min to create but yes it would be nice if they came back all though it could be down to the site being down last night

My daughter worked for a non-profit organization for years, the CEO of which made $500,000, then there was the President, VP, Treasuer, board of directors, and so on. Non-profit isn't what most people think. BTW the original poster hasn't been back since yesterday.

I agree that they are not all what they seem. This poster seems sincere and no one HAD to make a logo. Most of us did it because we could I'm sure. It would be nice if one of our logo's was used that credit was given (maybe on their website when they have it) to the person who's logo is picked. As for monetary compensation I don't think anyone here is really looking for that. If I wanted monetary compensation, I would not have posted my pic, or it would have so full of watermarks the meaning may have been lost lol.

In this day and age yes its true that most stuff isn't what it seems, but heck why can't we just throw away the shadow of doubt and go on faith. Life is too short to worry about such stuff. I hope they do use one of the logo's from here, because it won't cost them a fortune to have it made, and they were designed by someone for the love of doing it, not because they are being paid.

Just my 2 cents.

Let's wait and see, maybe they are off looking for premises or some other needy thing for the venture?
That or we have all been had over, either way i look at it like this, they came and asked - we obliged END OF.

It's all practice (the free stuff) the glass is half full NOT half empty, off to get drunk now ha ha.

Hey everybody! A big thank you for the all the help. I haven't been back b/c when trying to log on, I got a message saying the site was down and the forum was being moved... Hoogle- the Palmetto isn't to signify a vacation of sorts; it's our state tree and fairly common in these parts. Belial and AllenRM, thanks for keeping things positive! Everybody else: I was stoked to see the images; even if they weren't what I was looking for. Guys, I promise, nobody is out to get rich with this non-prof! And finally, Siodre- SCORE! That was wonderfully clever with the hands. I love it.

@hoogle- sorry i didn't thank you the first time around; I couldn't see any images, just one of those little tiny boxes that represent an image that my comp couldn't see!

thanks. its yours if you want it, i've got the .psd files so you can change colors, sizes, etc.. hands are from the photoshop default shapes and font is times new roman so no copyright issues from that.
