Child photography

Of course people skills are a massive part of taking pictures of people, but my point still remains, there is no difference between shooting children and adults.

Try it Chad. Kids with parents floating in the shooting area can and will ruin a child's experience with a good shooter. People skills are vastly different when shooting "Bubbles" or a CEO, or even Mom and Dad. I could never show the needed patience to shoot a child with a Lamb (popular at Easter) in the studio , BUT would have no issues with a busy CEO in his office.

Shooting great pictures of people is a REAL ART.....

Look at these artists portraits.....Chilling. Weegie shot one of the most remembered images of Smokin Joe..with a 4x5 Speed Graphic! No motor drives.

You must admit, there is no point in being good with kids, if you can't deal with the adults that bring them.

It is only an opinion I have, and am fully aware there is every chance that I am wrong.

I just have a very cynical view of most things, probably more so than I should have. I can't help but think these tuts and videos are in the same league of tosh as the books on how to parent your children. My opinion also is based on the fact I talk to everybody, whether young or old, as an individual person, not as a child or pensioner etc. I find the people who think it is difficult to communicate with children often think they have to talk to them like they are a child, which is just not the case.

Wherever there is an awkward kid, there is an awkward parent.

Bubbles is a monkey! Lambs and monkeys are unpredictable animals.

I totally agree that shooting great pictures of people is a REAL ART.
