changing colour of a motif


Lol, I hear ya. The thing with applying color, it will always be different depending on the surface to which you apply it. Even in printing, the same Pantone color will look drastically different printed on matte paper vs. glossy. That's why they have different formulas depending on the substrate ;)

I get you and I think that I am pretty close - if only I could see the Pantone swatch whilst I am adjusting the sliders...

Would anyone be able to suggest a method by first using a conversion to the Lab colorspace then using the Pantone colors to dial in the color required. It seems that converting an image to Lab allows more accurate possibilities.
