Change color and other things ONLY for added person..

Go back and read post #5. I pointed this out at 10am this morning.
Aha ok it's possible man i'm sorry but you know.. sometimes my brain really flip of all of the details of Photoshop!!!!

Don't forget that i'm a newbie in this ha!!!!But believe me i'm gonna get much better because i'm spending really hours after it!!!!:d

But what i ask myself is that if there is no option in photoshop that automatically tries his best to get colors and stuff of all layers the same.. again i say it 'tries his best' because we all know that some photos is impossible to match with each other because the quality..

There is an option for that, Match Color.
Image|Adjustments|Match Colors.

you are asking Photoshop to do too much for you... and something you should have already done...
as I said before, if you start with color balanced images, neutral color... the images/parts you combine will be fine...
if you have three different images, with three different color biases, Photoshop cannot solve...
Photoshop will try to make them equal, but, each one will still be biased...

color balance first, to neutral color, normal color... easiest way is via curves... correct by the numbers...
then... assuming your monitor is calibrated, adjust to please... or match the time of day, or the mood you seek...
taking an image to normal first, will avoid any sort of crossed colors...
Photoshop cannot solve crossed colors... it may improve them, or make them equally worse...

expecting Photoshop to solve, everything... is just being lazy...

So is it good that i turn the final result i made today with the added person to black and white and then arrange the color OR do i have to start from the beginning and make the images black and white(and saved it like that)BEFORE i open it with PS?????

Btw:is it not good to make an image black and white with like on next image:

black and white.jpg

Or is it better with 'curves'.. :btw i tried with curves but i'm getting another kind of black and white effect like i want..

Hey man i got a problem and that is:i turned the whole project to black and white and saved it like that.

Now i opened the psd and made a group of layers and added everything in it to be sure when i change something it will affect everything BUT.. it just seem i CAN'T get it back to a nice coloured image????!!!!!!

What is the best way to change an image from black and white to a nice coloured image?????

unless you saved with history states, or "saved as" on your previous steps... you threw away the color data...
a tough lesson to learn... but, chances are, you will not make it again...

show me a list of your layers... all of the layers you have...

open the file...
from the toolbar, click window, then history...
if you see many layers, this is good...
this shows each step you took, each thing you did...
look for the B/W adjustment layer, then click in one of the layers above it...
you should have color...
if you see no layers, or no history... color is lost...

go to your preferences and change the amount of history states you save...

Hey man,no i threw away the color data because their ain't no history.. and here's an image of all the layers:

Layers.jpg

It's not that bad because i already saved it as a jpeg IN COLOR so didn't needed it anymore.. pffff.. i'm glad it was not something i still had to work with..

So you say it is better to start with neutral colors and then try to make it the same with match color or something else???

Hey man.. now i tried this:i began with both coloured and i put them together and then made it all black and white.. and i have the history that it is coloured.. .

Now,i putted them all in one group of layer so i can arrange the colors and stuff all together.. but how do i get it now back colored????

Here's an image:

Hi there
What you need to do is add the effect to the person that you added to the composition. When you add something to a picture it normally has its own layer. You need to apply the effect to the layer that has your person on it. You do this by hovering over the thumbnail of the layer in question in the layers palette. Press Ctrl (windows) & Cmd if your using a mac. Your curser should change to the marquee selection square. Press on the thumbnail once this symbol appears, this will select all the pixels within that layer. Once you have made the selection you can then apply an adjustment to those pixels without effecting the whole picture.

Hi friend.. ,

I already found a way to affect a layer seperately and that is to hit ctrl+f on the layer which result that an arrow appears which affects ONLY the layer below it.. .

So that is solved but my question now is HOW do i get a black&white image colored????

if the image was "originally" a B/W grayscale image... and you want it to be color...
your only option is to "paint it" in, but, you must be an artist to pull this off...
a B/W image, that was scanned, or from a B/W negative, there is no color data...

if this pertains to the project you have been working on, you had color at one time...
it is vital, when using Photoshop to save, at many stages of your work...
not just "save" but, "save as" and create a totally new file, to keep as a back-up...
as either you, or your client will change their minds...
you cannot always rely on "History" saving your back-side...
Photoshop uses layers, for many reasons, one of them, is... so you "can" go back in time, to save yourself...
but, you must have it set-up correctly in preferences to do this...

before you start a project... you must have a game plan... a process...
looking at your history of this project, I see no plan, only random changes...
if you looked back at this project in 6 months, you would have no idea, what/why you did these steps...

you must have organization, clearly labeled layers...

I suggest you go to Lynda.com and join for a month, and study... before diving in blindly...

Photoshop is very powerful, you can create amazing things from nothing, and you can "easily" destroy an image...
fine to trash your own images... but, if you trashed mine, the client, there would be hell to pay...

no... people pay me, for my skills...
I would be a "problem" customer, as I know what can and cannot be done...
I would expect/demand... perfection, at every level...
