change clolor of banner

Ok, all by the books:
Put two Color Sample points in the left red part and the right part. I got this vals:

Left red - (254,0,0)
Right red - (239, 28, 38)

Now go to Red chanel and make a rectangular selection of the right part, thats easy. Get back to RGB chanel. With the selection still active create Curves adjustment layer.
In the Curves dialog:
choose Red channel and set 2 points (Input, Output): 0, 15 and 240,255
choose Green channel and set 2 points (Input, Output): 0, 28 and 255,227
choose Blue channel and set 2 points (Input, Output): 0, 38 and 255,217

All proving that there are multiple ways to achieve the desired result when you're working in Photoshop!

And yet they look perfect on our screens yet uploaded they loose the detail and become pixelated due to over saturated. or still faded. I even tried just selecting the brighter red set the brush to lighten looked fine until i saved it as a jpeg
