Challenge 9 Transportation


Dude! You Seriously have to Lose that Dark Avatar.

I feel like I'm being stalked by Bela Lagosi in some kind of whacked out Vampire flick from the 30's or 40's.

Oh ...the post in that thread was for DV8, I must have accidentally responded to one of your posts. He sent me a nasty gram about some comment I made. Seems like chiding others around here is a Lavish Sport around here for the Regulars, but taboo from new comers?

I felt like sending him a screen shot of my 19 Likes I got mostly from Moderators on my postings. I joined on 3-26, got banned within 3 days, and got 14 of the Likes after I was banned. When I see the High Quality Photohopping and Instruction going on here, you think they might be able to take a little ribbing around here. hmm/? Same Ol' Internet ...I thought? :/

Just friendly Banter. :)

I think they should be glad when someone comes here and actively participates on their site, and is willing to share what little knowledge I do have, and gleaning the good that comes with, rather than acting like Wyatt Erp and Doc Holiday trying to take out the Clanton Gang in some Podunk Forgotten Ghost Town.

During my recent Banning, I made my way over to Reddit.Com < (Shameless Plug) and found the Community Over There to be Quite Pleasing, and while a lot of the Free Photoshopping Going on there Rivals my own Mediocrity, There are Highly Skilled Photoshoppers and Adobe Illustrator user pouring their Skills and Hearts out for little more than Thank You's at Best most of the Time.

They All seem to Have Great Attitudes and a Sense of Humor.

Anyway! ...I Hope the Best for You Guys over Here.

I'm Sorry! ...After Looking at Your Son's Photo? ...I Realized Something.
The Photo is Not in Fact Distorted and That is Actually the Shape of Your Son's Head.

So I just wanted to Inform You that there is Not Currently any Filters in Photoshop that can Correct This.

So, What I'm Suggesting at Your Earliest Possible Convenience is to Go Ahead and Make Arrangement with Your Local School District and Sign the Kid up for a Ride on the Short Bus.

"Friendly banter" is fine, and a little joking around is fine too as long as it's funny, but that comment was rude and insulting to the parents of that kid.

If you don't like someone's work that OK, insulting their work isn't.

Keep it up and it may not take 3 days this time.

So rather than PM me back and discuss this civil like, you'ld rather post this somewhere around here. DV8's an ogre... lol ... yes I am, and I love it.


We rib each other, yes... but that's because after a while of being here, we've come to know each other. Taboo for newcomers? Not a matter of taboo... We don't know you... yet... and you've posted comments that have ruffled members here. Even make insulting comment about someone's kid? Or post a question whether anyone here used Photoshop before? What a question to ask in a PS forum. Incidentally, that was Mod deleted as well.

It's not a matter of Taboo. Anyone new in any group or gathering of people, has to earn the trust or respect of the rest in the team.

Dude, we'd monitor anyone whom we feel cause negativity in the forum. Yes , we gave the likes as acknowledgement to your art but we'll never post a letdown remark to anyone's work or uncalled for insults. "Callback when You have something worth watermarking." ... does this ring a bell?

Creativity is one thing, but attitude within a forum is another matter.

I know Reddit.. an excellent community . But create negative posts there like what you've done here will surely galvanize their Mod Team to act on you. Don't stretch their patience thin.

Oh yeah... iDad used to be a MOD here long before I became one. Old habits of old warriors don't die.

OK members. It's time to wrap up this Challenge. There are some truly cool manipulations. Fun stuff. I'll get this ready shortly so the voting can begin. It will be posted in another thread. This one is being locked. Thanks all and especially Mike for dreaming this up and for your image contributions. We may have to change that rule about the contest creator not qualifying for the vote. Post your thoughts on this in the voting thread guys. It would be interesting to hear.

On the chopping Site I Frequent, They Just don't Allow Voters to Vote for their own Entry.

Not the case here. We're more like Democratic Voting. You can vote for your choice. And if you think your entry is the best, you get to vote for yourself!

Not that we're politicians, but did you ever know one that would vote for someone else?
