Challenge 16....... Reflections

I say, nicely done Shifty. Great selection between the FG water and the BG!

My one critique - IMHO - is that there is no displacement on the left edge of the tower and relatively little on the right. That seems to be due to the lack of variance in the green water at that point. I think that could be remedied either with a greater displacement or by redoing the map to move more light/dark variance into position for greater distortion. You could do this by cloning some of the water movement. I know the water is fairly still but there should be at least some slight waver, especially since all the other elements close to shore have displacement effects.

Not exactly where you are talking about. I see displacement all around the tower. And remember, the furthest away the water is, the less displacement.

Not to be snitty, but it it where the tower is closer on the left hand, not farthest away. You posted a pretty low res pic so maybe you can see it in a larger image, but here is what I am referring to:

You could even clone some of the displacement effect from neighboring areas. Whatever.

Yeah. I'll look at it in Photoshop. But I'm positive it's there. It's probably Photobucket making it down.

Wasn't sure if I was allowed to do anything other than make a reflection of the image...but I did anyway. Hope that's allowed.

I don't get the reflection on this one clare, it's straight up like a mirrors reflection?
Is it meant to be this way or is it an underground stream, if so the reflection would be showing a distortion and perspective surely?

Nope, not a stream; it is nothing more than the source pic shows, a metal surface. Not really meant to be anything other than a fun pic. Certainly not in the running for winner. There are so many really cool entries!
