Amazing work, but was it done with photoshop?

theKeeper, Ferlin, I think you misunderstood what I intended with my link. I posted to link to show that a house like that can be done in Photoshop and even better. I didn't post it to show who's the best artist in that area ;)

Guys, that stone bricks texture came with 3dsmax 2 or 3,
I?m sure about it... :righton:

Hey Stu, I remember you painted that leaf when I asked you how to paint a vegetal leaf in ps in the old forum...
remember that? :)

Wow Kiwi! I didn't see your pics before I responded. Cringe }P Don't you think youre a little hard on yourself? Looks good to me :righton:

Thanks Ferlin :)

My architectural skills etc are much better now and its hard to not to see areas that need work, but maybe cringe was to strong :D

Ya I do remember that Tak,I put a leaf on the tablet and started painting it,and a banana as well I think :D....thats quite some time ago eh bud :)

John1...

Actually i never took it like that myself. I just thought i'd interject that point into the topic. :)

I'm pretty sure there are a ton of artists out there doing the same thing with PS as Bert is, but i don't know a quarter of them. So i wouldn't presume to know who the "best" is in that arena. Actually, i wouldn't word it that way either -- "best". ;)

There?s no " best" artist at all...
There are a lot of different artists out there,
and what you like, I may not like.....
The difference among humankind is a gift from nature,
and what bind us to it. :D

Hear hear!!! :righton:

A corollary... There's no accounting for taste and no premiere taste.

A Squarecan, remember that you paged me with the address of the site where you found this house.... well, I tried to contact the artist/designer twice, told him about our dicscussion here at PSG, but I never got an answer back, when I asked him how the house was made. Childish if you ask me... :\

Anyhow, since he mentioned AutoCad a few times on his site and since few of his other examples (done in Acad) look like this particular house, I assume it was originally done with that program.

As far as I know, Autocad is an arquiteture related software made by the same company that produces 3dsmax (autodesk),
and it is not able to render 3d pictures, but it exports files to
3dsmax...

That's incorrect. I've installed Autocad several years ago for someone at work and it does render within the program itself, I've seen it with my own eyes. ;)

Sorry, I?ve never installed it myself, that?s only what I knew about it... ;)
