Ah someone knows about a Tut which will create this...

stOrM : It`s great to see your progression on this. Way to go !

Keeper : HA! It`s the DL-44 effect (Progressive version) Live-in-action.
Outstanding stuff. Well done.

:}

thanx bob... a long road to perfection it is ... :\

Storm?! Is THAT the paper you created now?

If so :} :} :} Bravo! Excellent job. There's nothing more to add to it... it looks great the way it is! :righton:

I notice a couple lines spaced out oddly, make sure they're all evenly spaced. You can burn, blur, or fade em but they have to be evenly spaced.

Other than that barely noticeable part though... i think you've got it. Congratulations! :D :righton:

"The DL-44 Effect" hahaha :bustagut:

Yep Mark!

But I'm not sure about it...
Isn't their an easy way to make that kind of realistic Paper...
As you might notice that I have build it all up by handdrawn almost anything also the dirty look...

BTW. You have more I could learn by filling my brain with some great stuff???? Gimme input !!! %} %}

Also a few questions I have now if you don't mind:

1. The Blue lines, to evenly space them and producing more then just one color for each line, from the original I noticed sometimes they have 3 or 2 colors but not all so maybe I could create a Pattern and fill the white paper layer with it???

2. Same when it comes to the wire coil? I also noticed that over the many rectangles, in the wire coil their are small gradients sometimes but not everywhere...

3. The cracked paper look (I call it a second paper layer under the original one... What will be the best technic, to create the different from the original paper look (spheresize????), I don't think its a copy of the orignal layer...

4. You where telling me you have a really easy way to produce the dirty look (used look on the paper) My was made handpainted [confused]

kindest regards
and thanks alot for all your great, ideas, teaching and patience which
I really appriciate! Its a lot of fun learning from you! :D

Npe, no easy ways out here Storm. Just good ol' fashion hard work. :righton:

But like i said, your paper is perfect the way it is, trust me. You've covered all the important aspects of the original. The multi-coloured lines you're seeing (which i'm not btw) are not real. It must be a mess up from saving the image. You wouldn't see the blue lines as anything but blue IRL. They might be varying "saheds" of blue... but must be only blue.

If you want the paper to appear slightly bent or pillowed, use the DISTORT filter, not Spherize or Pinch. Those filters aren't exact enough.

Ok so my "easy" way of making the paper "dirty"...

New Layer above all layers.
Set the layer to Color Burn, lower Opacity to 65% to start with.
Use B&W and run the Clouds filter. Keep pressing Ctrl+F until you get the desired dirty look you want.
Apply the CrossHatch filter: 3/20/1.
Adjust the Opacity if needed.

Done. :B

I specifically like this method because it can be put into an Action that would contain all of the steps to create this effect. ;)

Thank you Mark!

Ok it's just that I would like to create it most realistic but if you say it's fine I'll trust you cauze you're the Master not me :D

Fine the way you create the dirty look I'll put it into an action like you say'd...

If you want the paper to appear slightly bent or pillowed, use the DISTORT filter, not Spherize or Pinch. Those filters aren't exact enough.

Ah I see I'll try that and will show the result here next time...

BTW. the next I woud like to add to my paper would be some really realistic looking pens, paintbrushes maybe some tubes where the colors flows out of them they should look pressed a bit like if you take them in your hands and press the color out of them (hard to describe I'm lost of the words in english here [confused] )

Any Ideas for that Mark? I probably will got lost because of the layer styles here [confused]

BTW. your avatar looks great but let me not sleep because of nightmares :bustagut: :bustagut:

kindest regards

Yahoo!!! Great work stOrM! :righton:

And I've suffered right along with you just by reading this past week's worth of posts! :P But hey, you gotta admit that Mark's "forced learning" technique works! :D I know... I'm a student too! ;)

As far as creating a realistic pen/paintbrush/tube is concerned, grab a model (photo or real) and take the same approach. You just might surprise yourself! ;)

Mark, I applaud your patience! :}

And your avatar...which seems to have taken on a life of its own and is in a perpetual state of metamorphisis! 8[

hahaha ya it "used" to huh G? [honesty]

Thanks Wendy. WOW you sure did make the rounds today on the boards huh? Wheeeew! I got tired just seeing how many threads you posted to! [confused] :righton:

:bustagut: :bustagut: Mark! It's the price one pays for being away...

:righton: All 'caught up' now and time to get busy! :D 8}
