Adding Text To Certain Frames For A Gif

okay so I made the one shape frame but how do I make the text frame? if I want the text to be on a frame where there is a picture what do I do?

in the orginal project I am trying to add text to exsisting layers if that makes sense.

No, you create a new layer, and place the text on the new layer.

Use your text tool to add text to this new layer. Then add a new layer and some new text to that one.

Try clicking that paintbrush icon to see if it will go off.

hey IamSam... thanks for your help for the night. but I'm just not getting it. I have to go for now as well. Maybe I'll come back tomorrow and figure it out.

Thanks though

Sorry to jump in but before you go further Sam....

SNEHNE..... adding the text lines should be done manually as you go along the frame animation. IR has a tendency to add objects on all frames in the entire animation. Thus , when you edit one part of the sequence , you should also edit/correct the succeding parts as well as from the start up to the frame you first added the object.

Thanks dv8, I did not know that about IR, glad you stepped in!

IR's a great favorite of mine which is mainly the reason why I have PS7 installed. CS animation is also good and I use use it to edit videos for conversion to gif.

Just to add... it's not necessary to rasterize or merge the text into the layers when doing an animation unless you prefer doing the entire animation sequence in layers.
