Please Help - How To Do This Text Effect [VERY EASY]

NOTE: All 3 samples are Kindle Erotica Book Covers. I couldn't find any non-erotica cover image. :redface:

Question - I want to create a simple Kindle Book Cover (that is, front side only) like the cover images posted below. I just want to know how to create the Text Effect. That is, how to create the Transparent (or opaque) bar and how to create the following text effects, both Title and Author Name Are the fonts or simple effects? Please help.



Please Help. Am using CS 5 Extended.

Hello and welcome.

Select your Rectangular Marquis Tool and create a rectangle across the image.
Fill with white.
Cmd/Contrl + D to deselect.



Add a black stroke using a layer style.
Double click the layer or go to LAYER > LAYER STYLE > STROKE



Reduce the white rectangle layers opacity to about 60 percent.



On a new layer create your text.........add a layer style stroke in the color of your choice.
(In this image, I have the BG layer and white rectangle layer turned off)

The opaque bar I would imagine is just a selection made with the rectangle marquee tool and filled with white, then just lower the opacity
