I have two images which are attached one has a blue border around it which is the end product, i have another image i need to add the same blue border to, again im not a designer im a Programmer out graphics designer left us recently so now i have to pick up the pieces until the new designer starts

Can someone please help me, the dimension for the new image needs to be width:199px and the height is 122px

The contact-us image is the end product,

the bridgnorth is the image im trying to add the blue rounded corners to, again at w:199px and h:122px

Hoping some one can help

This as been here before, i replied to that one - what's the beef?

No this is a different one, the one i posted originally was asking for someone to put the BPD image on the building, this one im asking for someone to put that blue border around it

Exactly that but the bottom right corner shouldnt be rounded, also can the border be the same colour of the other image?

Also can you tell me how you done that?

Can someone please help me with this on how i can achieve the same look as the contact us image i would highly appreciate it,
Also can some one give me a detailed breakdown on how they have done so i can learn from this

Thank you.

Keeping the base layer empty

Use the shape tool to draw out a rounded rectangle the size of your image then use a normal rectangle for the bottom right making sure they are both set to fill with colour merge those 2 layers and on a layer above your empty base layer then place your image above the new shape layer right click it in the layer panel and select create clipping mask.

You should now have
an empty layer
a shape layer
your image the same size and shape as your shape layer

Then hold control and click the middle layer to make a selection so you now have a selection right click it with any selection tool and select add stroke.

You are done

Hi Hoogle, Thanks for the information im sorry but i have to ask this where is the shape tool? the sizes have now changed the width is 379px and the height is 231px This is really urgent :( im counting down the days the new designer starts! The first post has another image called Contact us i need it to look identical to that besides having a different building in, and the width needs to be 379px and the height 231px

Thats perfect!!! can you tell me how you done it for future reference?

what i did was resize the image to the specified size, then create a round edge square of the same size and rasterize the shape, create another square but smaller and with the 90 degree edges (forgetting what its called) and rasterize this shape as well. drag the second square to where you want the hard edge. Now merger these two layers. Move the rectangle shape layer below the building layer in the layers pallets and create a clipping mask. Then select the shape layer and go to its properties, select stroke option and adjust the settings to your liking and make sure the stroke is inside not outside or center (using outside or centre will change the size of the image by that many pixels)
